Program Director

Full-Time

Role

The Program Director will report to the Executive Director, and will oversee all CelebrateMercy’s program departments including: online webinars, conferences, trips, and campaigns.

This position is remote for daily work, but requires occasional travelling for programs, and team meetings.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Understand the mission, vision, and values of CelebrateMercy

  • Understand CelebrateMercy’s service offering, including its brand, audience, goals, and all other aspects of its services.

  • Develop and implement initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, to ensure the fiscal health of the organization, and support its growth and expansion in the future.

Planning

  • Manage all program departments, including: online webinars, conferences, trips, and campaigns.

  • Develop a yearly schedule & budget for all programs

  • Coordinate with other functional teams to plan all programs: marketing, website development, donor relations.

  • Remain within budget with all costs

Delivery

  • Work, and communicate proactively and consistently with all departments to ensure successful delivery of all programs

Process Improvement

  • Work with program managers to develop data analysis reports for all programs

  • Regularly provide management with programs results and evaluations

  • Prepare financial summaries for the Finance department

  • Develop plans to improve future programs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years team management experience required

  • Strong project management skills required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Willingness to occasionally work in evenings and/or on weekends

  • Working experience at a Muslim non-profit organization, a plus

  • Ability to travel a few times a year for in-person programs and meetings

  • Ability to work in high paced environments, and produce high quality work with tight deadlines

  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively with remote teams

  • Strong spreadsheet skills

  • Knowledge or interest in the Prophet Muhammad’s life and character

  • Knowledge of Islam and Muslims in North America

COMPENSATION

  • Compensation commensurate with experience, and with organization’s growth.

  • Additional bonuses may be provided based on individual and organization performance.

We do this through short films, online campaigns, traveling conferences, and webinars that feature world-renowned speakers and scholars on Islam.
